This section is for those who have basics questions about, or are new to, Port. There are no "dumb" questions here - just those wanting to learn more!

Who would you like to read about?

Post by Roy Hersh »

I am considering a person for the next month's newsletter for the segment: In Focus, Profiles in Port. Who would you like to see there?

If you are going to help me out on this one, it has to be sooner rather than later. Portugal and much of Europe is on vacation in August!

How about Jorge Alves, winemaker from Quinta do Tedo? A very good up and coming Quinta and he's a nice guy to boot.

I'd like to read about one of the Master Blenders... the training they go through, etc. Perhaps Fernando Oliveira from Sogevinus?

How about João Nicolau de Almeida? I don't know how much longer he'll be in the business and he is certainly a master blender and innovator.
