Decanting time for Dows Quinta do Bomfim 1995

Post by John M. »

After reading the TNs it seems to me I should decant this at least 24 hours. Does anyone have a differing opinion? I would appreciate your advice. (Planning on drinking with friends Friday night). Thanks!

Well, I decanted this yesterday--by the time we taste it it will have been open 24 hours. Thanks to all for the TNs everyone posts, really helps me tremendously on buying and decanting, etc.

Easy night with port friends planned--nothing crazy, this Bomfim, a couple LBVs and a Noval Black...maybe another ruby (Cockburn Special Reserve which for $14 is a decent everyday, under the radar port and easy on the wallet). :winepour:

Sounds like a nice time, the Noval Black rocks (especially with 24 hours of being open). Be sure to let us know how things show. But I've got to bust your chops a little...it's Bomfim [friends.gif]

Touche, good buddy. I don't know how we can have a dedicated Port Website and not have a spell checker for all these Portuguese words  . Once the fog clears, I'll post some TNs. The favorite of the night was the Noval Black. The Bomfim was okay, nothing spectacular.

After editing several articles written by the infamous writer, Andy Velebil ... John, don't feel too bad about the Bomfim error. [rotfl.gif]
