TN: NV Bredell's port

Decant: None - South Africa. Cape Tawny NV. This is Bredell's first Tawny and is to be released shortly before Christmas 2008. From a blend of barrel aged ports averaging 12-15 years of age. Deep red-mahogany in colour, looking very rich. Lots of toffee and a hint of over-ripe pear on the nose. Very sweet in the mouth with a lovely date and toffee sponge pudding flavour. A huge, long length of lively and spicy dates that slowly changes to a cinnamon ice cream. Truly delicious and should be lovely if served chilled in the South African summer! 93 points
