Decant: 96 hours - The second half of a bottle opened by Derek for the TPF first anniversary offline. Opaque purple colour. Strong nose of sharp blackcurrants and creamy vanilla custard. Sweet and fruity but with a lovely tannic structure still gently framing the fruity essence. So much complexity in the mid-palate that it can be held in the mouth for ages. The aftertaste lasts a long time, but is soft and gentle and has to be thought about in order to detect it. This is a great wine. 93 points
