NFL: The stalwarts, the surprises and disappointments

Post by Roy Hersh »

What do you think so far of the 2010 season?

Who do you root for and for how long have you been watching your team?

Any other teams that you feel have been big surprises or major disappointments so far this year?

It's just wacky. Don't know how else to describe it.
Partial to the Rams, since they were once in Los Angeles where I grew up. Remember the fearsome foursome playing defense with the Ground Chuck offence!

The Eagles (or if you're from Philly "Iggles"), my team for 30 or so years--always have a couple others I root for including the Giants (perplexing to most Eagle & Giant fans--I'm a distant relation to Fran Tarkenton and he was the Giants QB circa 1971). Like the Bears, too.

Raiders are surprisingly good. Cowboys and Broncos surprisingly bad.
Any Port in a storm!

Both the Broncos and Cowboys have a lot of talent on their team. But they lack a winning attitude and by extension, lackluster coaching (JJ seems to have done something about his though).

KC and the Raiders are having turnaround years for sure and both are going to be a force come next season. If either makes it to the playoffs, it would be a major achievement. I never count SD Chargers out of it, and everyone expected them to be atop the division.

Seattle has also gone from a team on the upswing to one of mediocrity as of late. Like Eric said, a strange year.

I know that the Giants have a fine team, but I don't think they'll be back to a Superbowl this year. Pittsburgh is always dangerous too. Glad to see Shanahan doing poorly with the Skins.

Roy, as a lifelong fan, I think (hope) that you are wrong regarding the New York football Giants! [beg.gif]

Steelers are my AFC Superbowl Pick even though I am die-hard Pats fan. Steelers get there without much hype or fanfare and all of sudden they start kicking rears in the play-off's

Randy Moss would a big story of the season too. 3 teams in one season for such a talent...

Not really surprised by that last one here.

The Broncos have a talented core of players, the coaching staff ... not so much.
