New bottle design that keeps sediment at the bottom
I just ran across this article today: http://www.winesfromspain.com/icex/cda/ ... 254,0.html

Hmmm, I wonder if that would work for Vintage Port.

Re: New bottle design that keeps sediment at the bottom
It looks like a bigger bottle, which I wouldn't want as I have a hard enough time storing some of the crazy bottle shapes I have already. And what happens when you take an older bottle of VP with lots of sediment, stand it up to move it, than lay it back down? All the sediment will stay at the bottom instead of spreading out evenly along the bottle again while it ages for another 20 years. I think I'll stick with what has worked for 200 years.
