Hi Daniel!
Do you mind informing where you purchased these ports at those prices?
Assuming the prices are incl tax, they seem to be very good.

Hi, Rune, sure, it was a private (C2C) deal with someone in Porto, so no VAT..Rune EG wrote:Hi Daniel!

Three of those for me, three for some friends who were kind enough to pick them all up. I think that clears out their stock.Russ Kimmitt wrote:6 2007 Silval @ $25 ea

Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
1 x 30 year Sandeman Tawny @ $59.99
Based on the tasting notes that I read here, I may go back and relieve them of the other 5 bottles (that came in a nice wooden case!)
Also today:
1 x 1963 Dow
1 x 1963 Fonseca
3 x 1963 Graham
1 x 1975 Graham (magnum)
Now, I am done for a while (again.)

And 6 bottles of Taylor 1963 that DRT didn't manage to get his corkscrew into!
Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
A lote of 1966 Fonseca.
Gary, I hope you grabbed the rest of the 30 year old Sandeman. If not, you are crazy, because that price sure was and the quality is excellent, in fact I wrote about it in today's blog posting!![Toast [cheers.gif]](./images/smilies/cheers.gif)

Who am I to argue? I picked up 5 of the remaining 11 bottles, today. Next month, I will go back for the remaining 6. The owner said that they will remain at $59.99 until they are sold out.Roy Hersh wrote:Gary, I hope you grabbed the rest of the 30 year old Sandeman. glad you made it down to get it. I wouldv'e got it for ya, but wasn't sure if you wanted or not since I was stupid and left the year out of my PM. No advertised sale on any ports this week....Eric Menchen wrote:Three of those for me, three for some friends who were kind enough to pick them all up. Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
I went to pick up a recent order from MacArthur Wines in Washington, DC and bought the following while I was there:
2 x 1985 Fonseca Vintage
3 x Unknown house (no label) but believed to be 1963. Mid neck level and priced right.
1 x 1963 Fonseca Vintage (active leaker, mid shoulder level ... but only paid $59.99 so worth a gamble)
Given the condition of the 1963 Fonseca, I opened as soon as I got home. Tasting note, coming.

Dom, I can recommend the Niepoort LBV 2005 - good buy, let it settle for a good 6 hours in the decanter though...

1 x Noval Black
1 x Quinta do Tedo LBV 2001

Corked bottled - i pushed my corkscrew into the cork and it slid in about 0.5 inch!Dom, I can recommend the Niepoort LBV 2005 - good buy, let it settle for a good 6 hours in the decanter though..
So replaced it with a Niepoort Crusted Port (bottled 2007) it 's a blend of 2003 & 2005 so should be good - I've just opening it, it's "resting" in a decanter!!
