Anybody interested in a trip to Madeira?

Post by Roy Hersh »

The two harvest trips (Port) plus the FTLOP Port harvest trip are now complete and will be emailed and on line within 24 hours. I just wanted to see if there is enough interest in a trip to Madeira to make it worthwhile. Thanks!

The honest answer is .... yes, but.....

Madeira is one of those places on the list that my wife and I want to visit one spring in about 10 years time when the children have flown the nest and we are not tied to school vacations.

Mind you, there are some other pretty wierd places on the list too. I'm told that I want to visit Iceland for a summer vacation :?

I'd love to come. I just need to try to arrange my schedule around it. At the moment I'm committed until Dec. I guess this is after the harvest.

Madeira Trip

I'd be very interested. I was only able to spend a day there on the cruise I took a couple of weeks back, but I spent a week there a few years ago and fell in love with the place.

Keep me informed please.

Will be there from Oct. 10 th for one week, doing the usual round.

Luckily we have two charter/package flights a week from Oslo and one from Bergen/Stavanger. Non-stop and direct.

Reidar,

You should join us on Port Harvest Trip !. It ends on the morning of the 8th and would be a perfect fit.

As far as the Madeira trip, we'll probably do one sometime between January and March of 2007. Any preferences as to which month and the duration?

I cannot join at that time in 2007, but it would be weatherwise, the later the better.

January, I have been there many times at that time, is a bit cool, like California at that time.

Guys, try March/April. You get much more, naturewise etc at that time. Perfect.

Don't know my schedule yet for 2007, but Jan/Feb would probably be best for me.
