Hi Claus!

Could you please post a Tasting Note for the 2006 Crasto LBV as soon as you have tried it?
I tasted it at Crasto during the FTLOP Harvest Tour Oct-10, and in my opinion it was the best Crasto LBV I have tried.
Going back to Odense, Denmark, to buy more from the Crasto-importer this summer, so I would like to have your opinion from a fresh bottle.

Hi Rune

I have no idea when we will open a bottle, but I just read Glenn's tasting note on it and I pretty much agree with him, except I am not sure I could tell the 05 and 06 apart if I tasted them blind.

I tried it the 06 at the shop in Odense and it really was a no-brainer to buy this, only reason I didn't buy more is that I live right around the corner from them so I can always get more.

Hope this helps
Claus

Found more 1991 Dona Matilda Colheita at 10-15% less expensive than in Orange County, CA, so I picked up some more; along with some Dow's Crusted bottled 2002.

An odd omission: I left Portugal for the first time EVER without carrying out a single bottle. I did buy a bottle of 2000 JM de Fonseca/van Zeller LBV and consumed that while in country.

Roy buddy??? Are you okay?!?! [kez_11.gif]

That 2000 JMF/vZellar LBV is very good juice. Wish I could still find it here. Just goes to show you, when you find something you like, snatch up a case (or 3) of it before it all disappears.

12 x 1994 Fonseca VP
6 x 1994 Quinta do Vesuvio VP - wouldn't want to allow the supply to drop too much!
1 x 1963 Grahams VP
Unfortunately, the auction house informed me that there was a problem with the 1994 Fonseca and refunded my money :( I was surprised, but c'est la vie.

Nice tandem... It is too bad about the Fonseca... great juice for a youngster and will be even better in 20 years. If you "had" it for a decent price, that would have been a great find. Although I am envious of the 6 pack of 94 Vesuvio - there can never be enough of THAT stuff around!
