I have a feeling that most of the vintage charts out there nowadays are just a hodge podge of whatever the wine critic feels based on what he feels like.
With our merry band of port drinkers, I feel like a vintage chart can be done in a more scientific approach, but where to start?
Do we base vintage charts only on the major british houses and take the general avg scores across the board?
Do we add in all the smaller houses?
Or do we only limit it to any houses that are readily available? Ie some ports just never reach the states so if they were an outlier, it wouldn't be fair to include them in a US vintage chart.

Several years ago, I did my own vintage chart and included it in one of the FTLOP newsletters. Jeff, are you looking to take this project on for the entire group? ![Huh? [shrug.gif]](./images/smilies/shrug.gif)

Re: Vintage Charts
Roy, if you send me a bottle from each year of VP produced, I will no on be happy o catalogue a comprehensive list of Vintages, but I'll provide a TN on EVERY one of them! (hell, I'll up the ante, I'll even take a pic of each bottle before, during and after consumption!).Roy Hersh wrote:Several years ago, I did my own vintage chart and included it in one of the FTLOP newsletters.
