I think it's fantastic that some Cali producers are dialing back the alcohol, especially in Pinot. I've spoken to a number of Cali wine producers who, off the record, have said they are slowly and quietly dialing back the alcohol in their wines. I'm positive it's a trend that will catch on and while we may not go back to the lower levels of years ago I do hope this era of high octane wines is finally starting to end.

Finally. I have had some 60's California Pinot and tasted like Burgundy. They should've kept with that style..
