That doesn't seem quite a fair comparison, as the 1985 bottling has only 9 years in cask. How would a 1976 bottled in 2007 compare to a 1954 bottled in 1985? That might not be fair either, but more to the point.
Apples and oranges. You can't realistically compare a 9-yr old Colheita to a 31-yr old Colheita. They're entirely different beasts, regardless of how many years in bottle either one of them has. Eric's comparison would have been much more appropriate despite being Port from different years.
