Yesterday was the annual race along the Douro river, which starts near the Atlantic Ocean and finishes just shy of the Dom Luis Bridge that connects Oporto to Vila Nova de Gaia. I've seen reports of some of the places and I'll try and get more accurate results, but for now this is what I've found out.
1st place: Calem
2nd place: Graham's
3rd place: Robertson
4th place: Dow (not confirmed)
I'll update this as I find out more...

Inquiring minds need to know .
Just knowing that this historical boat race coincides with " la St. Jean " in Québec is good enough for moi![NotWorthy [notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/notworthy.gif)

Yes, Calem won with Graham's posting a not far second place...
Some boats ran ashore into Gaia because of currents and strong winds.
It's quite a sight this "regata", makes you go back in time!

Re: 2011 Barcos Rabelos Boat Race
I heard the wind pushed some boats into to moored fishing boats near the start of the race! I've watched the races only once, from the Graham's Lodge and it was quite a site to see and I loved how excited the people were over the event. Hopefully one year soon I can make it back over to watch the race again.hugo oliveira wrote:Yes, Calem won with Graham's posting a not far second place...
