FABULOUS COLLECTION OF OLD PORTS FOR SALE

Post by Roy Hersh »

This is one of the deepest offers of well-aged Vintage Port that I've seen in ages (here in the USA). Most of these wines were purchased on release and are in OWC's. I've recommended LOTS of people to Mike for purchasing bottles. IF you mention FTLOP, he normally takes very good care of us!

Any standouts? Or must haves on the list? I want to order some and wonder where to start.

Thanks.

All of these are superb:

1977 Fonseca
1985 Fonseca
1985 Graham
1994 Graham
1977 Taylor

And that's just cherry picking the easy ones, quality-wise. I haven't been keeping up with prices lately, though, so I can't say for sure that those are particularly well-priced. The 1977 Fonseca looks about right - neither high nor low - while the other 4 seem like pretty decent deals to me.

Being a curious northern californian with time on his hands I visited this location. It is a warehouse with great temp control but not used to on-site retail sales. Will call pickups OK. They let me purchase a Fonseca 85 and Grahams 85 for the prices shown on Roy's post during my visit. Great folks. The warehouse was mostly composed of original wood cases. Will post tasting notes in the appropriate place soon.
