This is without doubt the worst port I've had.Thank heavens I have not got another 11 bottles to go.very high va suckling is right with his account.pale in colour hey I'm not going to bother describing this one it is that poor.Messias make lovely wines though at budget prices

Thank you for the warning. I'm currently planning a 1985 horizontal for December, and own two bottles of Messias (also Noval Nacional, Noval, Taylor, Fonseca, Cockburn, Dow, Warre, Calem, Royal Oporto, and Smith Woodhouse). Maybe I should find a bottle of Graham, Croft, Niepoort or even Delaforce as a substitute?

Any of those you mentioned jd would be an improvement on the messias 85,but if you can find one I quite like the Burmester 85
