I may be fudging a few points on the rating, but I really love this wine. The nose is big with butterscotch and fills the room. It's a dark brown that's bright with a classic Madeira green rim. The acid is balancing a slight residual sweetness. The wine goes great with chicken Cordon Bleu. (95 pts.)

I think it's honest, somewhat plodding..... John C. who made that wine thought of it as outstanding; Richard Mayson who's knowledge and palate is (almost) as olympian as Roy believes that it is a very great wine. I am, once again, cast as the underdog.... such is life.....
Enjoy!

I've drunk six bottles of this wine over the last year or so. I've experienced noticeable variation in acidity, sweetness, and finish. I have liked them all and will buy more as find them, but have found the 15 year sercial to be more consistent.
