1978 Messias Vintage Port

Post by simon Lisle »

Deep honey in colour, very unbalanced but not to unpleasent on the downward slide, tannins mixed with a nutty almost almondy taste with a sweet finish.A short cork as was the 85 I paid lbv money for this one £10 and to be honest about right. The thing that puts this ahead of an lbv is age and quirkiness.

Its always fun to hear about bottles from not-so-great years and to see how they are holding up. Thanks for the note.
