I just wanted to point out: The title for this should read "January 27th 2012". :D I didn't want someone to see this and think it was an old post/past event.

That's twice now that I did that with 2010 instead of 2012. I hate when that happens. Thanks Melanie and Andy!

That's our Roy, always living in the past! [friends.gif]

He probably thinks that since the New Year has just been released that it must have been harvested 2 years ago.

Just in case you can't make it to our event at the Holiday Inn, or you need more than one event to celebrate #PortDay, there's another event going on in Redmond at World of Wines.

I talked to Kathy, the owner, about #PortDay and she loved it so she called Elaine Grenier and they're going to do a "rainbow of Port" event at the store from 4 pm to 10 pm. (I think... check with Kathy 425-869-9463 to be sure.) They'll be tasting rubies, tawnies, whites, and roses. Stop by and say hi either on your way to the FTLOP event at the Holiday Inn, or on your way home after the FTLOP event!

I hope not, yet at the same time, I can't guarantee my schedule. We're heading up to Yakima the next morning.

I have a couple of friends on Facebook who have indicated in the past that they like Port and would be interested in a gathering, so I'm going to pester them more directly this weekend. Hopefully a couple of them will show up!

I'm pretty sure I'll be there, but I won't be a full on confirmation yet.

Actually, I've got a friend who will join if we add some cigars to the mix.

He doesn't typically like wine, and I don't think he's had a good port yet, so I figure we can turn him to the dark side with some temptation.

I plan to be there and hope to bring several wine drinkers from (not at) work to expose them to the Port experience. See you there.

Sandy, I hope Ruth will be joining you? We enjoy her company, and it's always nice to have more ladies in the group.

I'll be a little bit late - between 6:00 and 6:30 - because I plan to stop off and say 'hi' at the World of Wines #PortDay event in Redmond on my way home from work. Then I have to stop at the house to pick up my glassware and Ports.
