Do I need to include this in your "care package" I still need to send?

As I talk to Zev by phone or emails back and forth nearly every night, I was going to break this news in the upcoming newsletter; as we figured few if any would see this. He then put it on FB about 11 hours ago. [dash1.gif] [dash1.gif] [dash1.gif] [kez_11.gif]

Oh well, I may still put it in there. [friends.gif]

No thanks, it wouldn't work on my DVD player in NTSC format. It looks like a PAL version will be available at some point so I will wait until that happens. Thanks for the offer [cheers.gif]

Derek,

Zev's already done the PAL version. Not sure when it will be released for sale though.

Thanks for your interest and comments. Life on the Douro has been released in both NTSC (for North America and some other regions) and PAL (for Europe and some other regions). The film is mostly in English and the NTSC version has subtitles in English for the few parts in Portuguese. The PAL version has subtitles in English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and German.

As extras, there are six approx. 3-4 min. interviews with Pedro Branco (Portal), Paul Symington, Alistair Robertson (Fladgate), George Sandeman, Dirk Niepoort, and the one and only Roy Hersh.

Both are available here http://lifeonthedouro.com/?page_id=20 (but, if interested, make sure you get the right one)

Zev,

The link to the PAL version doesn't work, which is why I assumed it wasn't available yet.

If you fix the link I will order a copy [cheers.gif]

I ordered my copy. If it is as good as the various reviews I briefly encountered in researching this, I'm going to have a copy sent to one or more of my Port drinking friends.

Hi Derek, The link was broken for a while when I added some more material, but is fixed now. At least on my computer. If it still doesn't work, please let me know. Zev

Thanks, Michael. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, but no matter what you do, there's always going to be some naysayers, so my fingers are crossed that you're not one of them.
