- NV Rare Wine Co. (Vinhos Barbeito) Madeira Porto Moniz Verdelho Special Reserve - Portugal, Madeira (1/30/2012)
A wine once belonging to the Favilla Vieira family; guessed to be about 40-50 years old. Popped and poured. A wine that made me smile from the first whiff. Tart, citric and focused. Dried peaches, lemons, and nut skin; hints of burnt sugar. Tangy, savory and mouthwatering; excellent length. Not heavily torrefacted, but light, fresh and zippy with a haunting cling... wonderful Madeira with fabulous laser-like focus. I can't wait to follow this over the next few days. (93 pts.)

Hmmm... normally posting a Madeira note from CellarTracker places it in the Madeira forum... not sure why it got redirected here.
Andy: Could you move it to the Madeira forum? Thanks!
