Two cases of Quinta dos Eirados Vintage Port - Vintage 1999 up for auction at Acker, ends tomorrow. I've never heard of this quinta. Has anyone?

I didn't bite, and last I checked no one else did either. Still might consider it, but there were other more well known items to be had in that auction.Moses Botbol wrote:Saw that... What's the deal on those?

Re: Quinta dos Eirados?
A little more googling indicates it is made by Quinta de Santa Eufemia; at least I found the two names together in a few wine listings, e.g. http://www.wineaccess.com/wine/product/ ... rados-Port, so maybe it is a SQVP made by them.
Re: Quinta dos Eirados?
Yes - Q d Santa Eufemia appear to have registered the EU trademark for this name. The label also appears to bear the Q d Santa Eufemia logo. The website suggests this was Eufemia's first VP (or first produced under the guise of Quinta de Santa Eufemia, at least)Eric Menchen wrote:A little more googling indicates it is made by Quinta de Santa Eufemia; at least I found the two names together in a few wine listings, e.g. http://www.wineaccess.com/wine/product/ ... rados-Port, so maybe it is a SQVP made by them.
