I thought that was bad for your teeth as it exposes the enamel more to the acid in the wine.LeClaire ... suggests brushing your teeth in the middle of wine parties to keep your palate as clean as possible.
And agreeing with Moses, this article is more about attending and less about planning.

A baking soda rinse would do better at neutralizing acids without wearing down the enamel IMO. I am not a dentist for what it's worth, but have health teeth.
