Bottled 10/2000.
Surprisingly dark, almost Soy dark with olive oil rim.
When first opened, somewhat closed and lacking fruit. After a day and a half, now has an expressinve nose. Meaty, toffee, and limes. On the palate, the fruit has become more evident. Rich, proper Bual weight and sweetness. Good acidity. Decent finish but lacking in concentration. Hopefully, there's more of this in cask. A few decades more would make it much better.

Re: TN: 1953 Barbeito Bual
Tried this wine(bottled in 2002) in 2005. My tasting results as recorded were not
as good as Eric's.
TN: light body-some acid but light in weight-just so-so-13+/20.
