Post by Reidar Andersen »

Just curious, NOT looking for bottles to buy, but I just wonder how many bottles are available for buying outright ??

Anyone have an idea ?

I know an individual with a considerable stash, once owned a few cases of it. It is not a wine that shows up at retail but at auction on occasion for some silly prices. There is definitely bottle variation in this particular wine and I have experienced that first hand. I doubt I´d ever spend that kind of money on a bottle of the 1795 as I would prefer to do so either on the 1802 Acciaioly Terrantez or maybe even the Fonseca 1927, but more than likely the former.

This Terrantez fan would love to taste it, but not for the £$¥€ I'm guessing it would cost.

It can be found for US$2k-$3k.

Or shared with 3 other friends for about $100 per ounce x 6.
