Taylor's Vintage Port 1992: decanting question

Post by Jose Vouillamoz »

Hello everyone,

I'm cracking open this Taylor's VP 92 for my birthday in 10 days. It's still a young VP and I'd like to taste it in the best conditions, so how long do you think I should decant it?
Thanks

12 hours should do it justice. A very fine young wine, indeed.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

Roy, hanks a lot for the tip, I was about to let it breathe for 2-3 hours only...! I'll post my impressions on this VP afterwards.
Very best
