Our first visit was to the Burmester Lodge. They revamped it slightly since our first visit when it opened to the public in April. I really like the new layout.

I was pretty impressed by their set-up....and the location - they must be pretty pleased with themselves!

Sogevinus is a wealthy Port holding company, backed by a Spanish banking firm. Will austerity measures in Spain allow this type of bank holding to continue in the future?

Having extraordinary proximity to the bridge and being the very first Lodge one comes to, (in Gaia when walking from Porto across) Burmester's new lodge venue was certainly a masterful coup.
