Case of Altano for $96.00. For me it's still the benchmark Douro every day drinker. It’s hard to find a more compelling wine from any region at that price.

This has come along way in the past few vintages. I wasn't too impressed with older versions of this, but around 2006/2007 it made a nice step up quality. Not sure if it's the vintage or the Symington's getting a better grasp on making Douro wines. But I suspect it's a little of both.

Very lucky today. One full six pack in OWC of 2004 Abandonado. One can never have enough of that one.

I happen to like the 2006 QdC Reserva quite a bit and at that price, how can you possibly go wrong?

I picked up their 2006 "Crasto" DOC for $10 a bottle. It's a pretty good effort, but I prefer Duas Quintas or Altano at that price point.

2009 Quinta do Passadouro. Bought a couple at $8 each or around that. Another Douro bottle with an owl, hope it's as good as the other owl Douro...

Price check... Was really $12 marked down from $22. Great wine! Typical Douro floral nose, very inky and leans towards a modern style but not too ripe. If you can close to the $12 price, buy all you can!
