Of the 10 regions listed the Douro would be my clear No. 1 followed by Rioja.

They have my two favourite wine tourism destinations on their list - the Douro and Stellenbosch

The Douro Valley is one of two places I've visited where I honestly felt (feel) like I could spend the rest of my life there (Barcelona being the other one ... and Paris is slowly creeping into that equation, as is Rome). The Douro is just so unassumingly beautiful. [cheers.gif]

Douro, Madeira, Western Cape of SA and Priorat are my top four regions, in order of visiting preference.

Brian, we share a dream. But Rome definitely beats its westerly counterparts. And we have to throw Madrid into the mix for two or three weekends a year to remind us that not everyone sleeps when the sun is down :wink:
