An interesting purchase - what made you choose to buy this particular bottle given the reputation that Nacional has for the vintages in the '80s?Roy Hersh wrote:1980 Nacional

1997 Quinta do Crasto VP. Only had this once that I recall and it didn't show to well. Wanted to give it a go one more time to rule out a bad bottle or not.

Great deal. The best I can do in these parts is $11.20 for half bottles (plus tax), and that seemed like a good deal before.John M. wrote:A couple of 2007 Dows LBV for $15 each ($16 with tax). Cheaper than many reserve rubies.

Whew! You saved John from having to post 3 times in a row. We don't want him to know JUST how slippery the slope is quite yet, now do we?Eric Menchen wrote:Great deal. My Mother stopped in for a visit and brought me Sandeman 20 Year Tawny. Someone is giving her good advice (at Christmas she gave me a 2000 Warres LBV) but she's not talking. She's the best!!
