Velhiisimo Verdelho

Post by Roy Hersh »

The next great Madeira tasting will take place tomorrow in NYC. It wasn't easy to organize this one below the radar, but it had to be done that way. There will be articles coming in FTLOP and I have a contract for The World of Fine Wines too, for later in the year. Richard Mayson may do one in Decanter, but that remains to be seen. More about the specifics, after the fact. Fortunately, the snow has not prevented our group from descending on NY, and I will admit it is beautiful and cold. Loving it.

Thanks Peter and Reidar, you were missed. Some of the Verdelho bottlings were amazing and a few really missed their mark. I will be writing up the entire event and you will see my TN's and the photos etc.

I recently read Richard Mayson's notes of the first part of the tasting. Does anyone else have notes to post?

I do have my notes. I'll enter them in when I get a chance.
