TN: 1885 Barbeito Verdelho Vintage Madeira

Bottled around 1990. Medium brown with light amber edge. A little toast, but otherwise not much bouquet. On palate, tea and a little spice. Guess 1.5-2% sugar. Rather dull. Short finish. 16. After 1 hour in the glass it filled out with more complexity, becoming 17+; however, at 2.5 hours it was fading and back to 16.5/20. Apparently Mario Barbeito loved this wine. (3/10).
