Happy Easter!

Post by John M. »

For those FTLOPers that celebrate.....Happy Easter! Have fun and drink a nice one!

My sister-in-law has a Quarles-Harris LBV for me for Easter--I can't get that around here so I thrilled to try something new.

Feliz Pascoa!

I've been trying to decide what to open for a couple days - given my limited stock, it really shouldn't be too difficult. lol.

Thanks and a Happy Easter to all as well. For what it may be worth, after a very fine 2007 Quinta do Dona Maria enjoyed over two nights this week, tomorrow will be enjoyed with the 2003 Cave de Tain Hermitage.

Poor planning on my part. I returned from the Easter Vigil to realize all my LBV is gone, and I didn't decant a VP. Building of the wine cellar and basement starts next week. I've transferred 2/3 of my wine and beer to a friend for.safe keeping in the mean time. When I deliver the remaining third, I'll have to see if any LBV is accessible and grab a few if so.

I still had a Cockburn's Special Reserve. Not a bad substitute. Happy Easter.

Belated Feliz Páscoa!
Back in Coimbra we had some 10yr Taylor and regular Noval tawny. The Noval had been opened at Xmas time, the Taylor has been open since a least Xmas 2011. They were still tasting ok, w the Taylor clearly winning despite the age. The Taylor is showing tons of sediment, which I food surprising for a tawny... Guess extended time since opening does it!
