The correlation to seating comfort is not tied so much to total height, but torso size and leg length; says the person with a 34" inseam.

No worries. When looking up the standard seat width I noticed that the trend is to seats with NO lumbar support. This will allow them to make the seats lighter and THINNER thus allowing an even shorter pitch (distance center to center) and more rows of seats per plane. Remember, if you can shrink the pitch by one inch that gains you a new row of seats for each inch of the normal pitch of 29-30 inches. It doesn't mean the plane is any bigger, so there will be just that much more competition for scarce bin space.

I am thinking that I have done the right thing by quitting flying. It makes the flying experience that much better for those who are still willing to fly. (I am NOT a gracious sufferer.)
