Six each of Sandeman and Offley Boa Vista 2011 now added to the stock. If I reach the age of 88 I will have a nice 2011 horizontal to enjoy with my nurseDerek T. wrote:Six bottles each of Dow, Niepoort, Quinta do Vale Meao and Warre 2011

1983 Graham VP
2000 Warre VP
And to my annoyance, I was outbid on a Burmester 1978 Colheita. Certainly anyone is free to bid, but the bottle had been sitting for weeks at $80. It went down to $75 last week, so I put in a bid for that amount, and was outbid at $80. What, you didn't want it earlier at that price, but now that I put in a bid, you got jealous?

Quarles Harris 2006 LBV ($12.99 USD) and 10 year old ($15.99 USD). Both from Trader Joes. (it's hot out here in New Jersey, so I popped the 10 year old in the fridge for an hour last night before opening. A nice refreshment)

6 x 1985 Graham 750ml for $80/bottle
3 x 1985 Graham 1.5L for $160/magnum
That's a good price on the bottles. It's a fantastic price on the magnums.

As man people here know, I have sworn not to buy young port that I will not live long enough to drink when it is mature. So I have managed to restrain myself so and have only bought 12 halves of Skeffington and 6 bottles of Smith Woodhouse. That means I now own 0.05% of the production of SW11!

I can honestly say that I've never had the privilege of owning a bottle of Skeffington Vintage Port. ![Huh? [shrug.gif]](./images/smilies/shrug.gif)

I discovered Skeffington with the 1994 vintage. I really like the philosophy behind the way that TFP use the brand - essentially the Croft, Taylor and Fonseca ports are all made to the house style from the vineyards that have always been used to make each of those houses...but there is always top quality lotes left over after the main houses are blended. The winemaking team then take the lotes left over and use some of them to make a top quality blend in small quantities and bottle it under the Skeffington label - "the fun blend" as one of the winemaking team once said to me.Roy Hersh wrote:I can honestly say that I've never had the privilege of owning a bottle of Skeffington Vintage Port.
This means that Skeffington varies considerably in style from vintage to vintage and is unusual in that it is not tied to any particular set of vineyards. TFP often use this house to supply the buyer's own label market (Tanner's 2011 vintage port is Skeffington, for example) and it can represent a real bargain in vintage port terms - I paid £11.50 for a half bottle of the 2011 vintage.

I think if you use the Portuguese word "Colheita", we will understand!Bruno P. wrote:I bought noval harvest 1986 amazing wine.

Sounds like a great wine. I love the Noval Coplheitas. Do you know the bottling date?
