Guys, I wonder if you have tasted these ?? Will order tomorrow... Not in the house yet...
The Norwegian Government Liquor Stores sell the 1960 for $ 225 incl 25% VAT. Numbered bottles bottled in 2006. A fair price.
The 1981 Verdelho D'Oliveira is the birthyear of my son ( living in Kuala Lumpur, very good muslim, likes all the same stuff we on this forum here likes ). It cost $ 130 incl.the 25% Vat.. Also a fair price...
Hi Reidar,
I remember tasting the '81 Verd at the d'Oliveiras tasting room last month and recall not being very blown away by it in comparison to the other young wines I was tasting next to it. I remember this specifically because my GF and I each were going to buy a bottle of our birthyear wines to take home with us. I, being somewhat underwhelmed by the '81 managed to talk her into us just buying a '27 Bastardo instead. The '94 Verd colheita, on the other hand, left a very positive impression on me for the depth that it already shows and the promise for future bottlings.
