Conflicted

Post by Eric Ifune »

USA just drew into Portugal's group in the World Cup along with Germany and Ghana. We get to play against Ronaldo.
Not an easy group. Ghana knocked the US out of the past two World Cups.
England looks like they got a decent draw.

Wow, Germany, US, Ghana, and Portugal? Sounds like we drew the famed Group of Death. :(

Our group is a tough one... v tough.
May Portugal and the US move fwd.
Highly unlikely though, hard to imagine Germany not moving ahead...

Portugal is actually a bit flat lately, not that you can ever really count out Ronaldo. Ghana plays fast and loose, I'd worry more about then than Portugal at the moment, not that either will be easy. At least were not in with England et al.

In GoD we trust!!....The silver lining here is survivors of GoD draws tend to do well IF they can advance. A great test of mettle...Go USA!!

USA is in a tough group no doubt. Portugal, Ghana, and Germany don't have it easy either. I assume Portugal will win the group, but whomever does is going to a top contender. Saw Portugal vs. Brazil this summer in a sold-out friendly at Gillette Stadium (where the NE Patriots play). What a game!

Funny ... when you mention "WE" ... I am thinking, Portugal. [cheers.gif]
