Easy one, 1862 Lomelino Verdelho.

Is everyone else just going to wait until they see what they drink during the holidays? [foilhat.gif]

Come on, make Barry's day!

I second the 1862 Lomelino Verdelho. A bit sweet for Verdelho, but a heck of a wine!

1989 D'Oliveiras Malvasia
Havent tasted that many Madeiras yet.
Did try the 1968 D'Oliveiras Boal, 1969 Blandy's Terrantez and 1962 Blandy's Sercial but seems to me that my palate is more geared towards the sweeter stuff. The Terrantez I really liked also, hard to verbailize why... there's something about it that I find v appealing.

Maybe, Barry, D'Oliveiras 1912 V in San Fransisco... For me a little extra since I am so into the sweetest wines..

1950 Faja dos Padres terrantez

1932 D'Oliveira's verdelho was a close second.

Reidar, I wasn't at the 'hi-bar' tasting the day before, but wasn't there anything more impressive in that lineup?

Also the 1862 Lomelino Verdelho.
I'm starting to think 1862 may have been the greatest vintage ever.
