Don C has done a great job covering this on WB forum. Crazy how much was involved.

I wonder what kind of money the clearly fake bottles would go for nowadays, considering the fame/infamy associated with them. I'd probably buy a bottle, if they were less than $80 or so.

Thinking about this, I have to conclude that Rudy wasn't just a criminal, but like many (most?) that are successfully prosecuted, a very dumb one. He had wines withdrawn from auction in 2008, a civil lawsuit filed against him in 2009, and wines run through a proxy withdrawn from auction in early 2012. Yet in March 2009, when is home is raided by the FBI, they find all his materials there in his home. Since I'm not a criminal, maybe my perspective is skewed, but I would have destroyed all the evidence in 2008, or at least hidden it and my activity a little better.

Maybe the conclusion is that, the movie ... Wall Street, was wrong. Greed is bad!
