Decant advice - 1964 Broadbent Boal Madeira

Post by Eric Menchen »

I'm planning on serving this after a Christmas dinner with pecan pie. I was thinking I'd do a double decant as I will be traveling with it (locally). Recommendations?

If you're going to double decant, I'd do it a day or two ahead.

Agree, but I'd decant 48 hours ahead. Nothing will be lost with the extra time and lots to gain. I hope you and Marijke enjoy this and btw, belatedly, Happy Birthday Eric!

Madeira is in the decanter. It won't get a full 48 hours, but 30+.

And thank you Roy. You aren't late--the day after Christmas.
