Wow... there seems to be great demand for the v high end stuff.
Wonder where those people are hiding...
Could they be high end restaurants/hotels?
Not anywhere near me. There are a few places with some VPs on the menu, but the one place I gave a chance at having a Nacional did not. They did have one Quinta de Noval, a non-Nacional 1963.
There's a restaurant in London (Portal in Smithfield) who have a bottle of Nacional 1963 on their wine list for around £2,000+.
Plus you can find some pretty rare ports at Hedonism. I don't know for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if they have Nacional 2011 on offer.
Berry Brothers listed 4 bottles of Nacional 2011 @ £750 and sold out in a few days.

Very nice pick up. I actually bought 12 for about that price in an Acker auction. I usually don't follow the Spectrum auctions, but perhaps I should. In the last Acker online auction, I picked up some Amarone and:
1x 1983 Warre 750ml
2x 1992 Fonseca 1500ml
1x 1994 Fonseca 1500ml

6x Vesuvio 2007 , tonight at auction. About € 44 a bottle (all-in), which for Dutch pricing is a pretty ok price (retail is about €65 and up)

Just taken delivery of 3 bottles of Sandeman Vau 2000 @ £65 per bottle. A bit expensive, you might think, until I tell you they were each 3 litre bottles.
A double magnum is a great looking bottle.

John, did you see the Quarles Harris 2011 VP at TJ's earlier this month? Let me know if you see it in Westfield, and I'll do the same.

3 double magnums of Sandeman Vau 2000 @ £65 each. No idea when I'll open one but I can't resist a bargain.
