I have just bought the 1995 Boal HM Borges as a "cellar defender" (for 14 Eur each bottle) and I am currently driniking a bit of it each night after dinner. It seems to have enough complexity and a wonderful silky texture.
What other wines you think are good cellar defenders and which do you have and are currently dinking?
Best,
Gonçalo

Re: Madeira Cellar Defenders
Mine is Broadbent 10 Yr Malmsey.
At $35+ per bottle could use something cheaper though but haven't had much luck w cheaper Malvazia. Prob only have Madeira 1-2 times a week though, most nights stick to Port.
Like Gonçalo, I have a little Port/Madeira after dinner every day too.

I can't get it in the States, but I love Borge's 15 year old Malmsey. A few years ago it was at a ridiculously cheap price from the cellar.
