...guilty as charged

but also:
...you thought about naming your daughter "Malvazia" as her middle name.
(that was after three glasses of Malvazia, next morning I changed my mind and picked my grandmother's name instead)

... you celebrate the birth of your second son by opening a bottle of Madeira.

(actually opened the Barbeito "Mãe Manuela" just over a week ago. tasting so much better now. rather wonderful and balanced from beginning to end)

... when you specifically go to Madeira do conceive your first child there (and it worked out!). My baby daughter will be christened tomorrow and the toast after lunch could ony be with Madeira!

Just loved Moses' reply on the BUAL license plate  and I agree with Barry. I have recently started thinking about doing my one Madeira blend....

Miguel, congratulations for the big boy! I really thought it would be difficult for you to keep the Mãe Manuela far from sight!

Daniel Auh Simões. We both really like the name Daniel and it travels extremely well (same spelling pretty much everywhere). We thought Filipe (our first) would be smooth sailing but have had it butchered so many different ways (Felipe, Felippe, Filippe, Philippe, Philip, ...) that we went as safe as possible this time.

Am not enough of a Port/Madeira geek to name him something like Graham or Sercial...

As I think about it, feels tougher to get boys names than girls names when using Port/Madeira for inspiration.

Congrats in advance Gonçalo! That's a lot of Madeira spirit packed into a little girl. Any chance you named her Malvasia??
