Has anyone had this one recently? It is one missing from my collection and I may get some but there do not seem to be many tasting notes about.
In my opinion (and Roy's notes would seem to agree) Dow 80 is one of the few top-draw wines in the 80s, but the 85 never seems to crop up in tastings I've read about - including Roy's recent Dow vertical it seems.
Any guidance appreciated.

TN Request - Dow 85
Stuart Chatfield London, England
I posted a tasting note on this wine in June. Enjoyable and well structured, but nothing spectacular - I rated it 91/100.
My note was posted at http://www.fortheloveofport.com/ftlopfo ... t=dow+1985
Unfortunately, I didn't note the decanting time that I tasted the wine for the note.

Have stood a bottle up for next weekend...

This will be nice, more notes on the 85's, sort of a mid month virtual tasting! It sounds like I may have enjoyed the 85 Dow slightly more than Alex did, it will be interesting to get some more opinions.bridgema wrote:I posted a tasting note on this wine in June.
