In decanter and I will be drinking this during the weekend, and might share some with Chris Blandy ... but don't want to offend him, as we are tasting through some of his bottlings.
This new Historic Series bottling is an homage to America's "first" Madeira lover, early vini-viti culturist and 3rd President of the US. I will provide some feedback on this wine when it has had a chance to rest and open up in decanter. I am still deciding on whether or not to provide a tasting note here or in the newsletter or possibly both.

It's excellent Roy, nice depth. I'm glad you are decanting, it came alive for me around day 2-3. I put this bottling a few hairs above the Stratford Hall. ![Toast [cheers.gif]](./images/smilies/cheers.gif)

Nice. I've ordered some, but will have to wait for delivery. Already getting too hot in LV.

I just had opened the RWC Savannah and was not impressed (I detected a faint plasticky taste); but I did recently enjoy the RWC New York Malmsey. I haven't seen Jefferson and will be interested on the feedback people give on this RWC Madeira.

It is avery solid bottling, tasty and good structure and excellent finish. However, I can't say that it had the "wow factor" I had hoped for considering this is about 50% higher in price than the other Historic Series bottlings. Again, I definitely enjoyed this and will have a more formal note in the upcoming newsletter. I thought I noticed a hint of Terrantez, but the back label says the blend contains a small amount of Malmsey, so it was just my impression. I am unsettled on a final score but am in the 92 range at the moment (+/- 1 point in either direction). This was inserted into two distinct blind flights and I will also judge this sighted from here as I am taking my time to note how this changes over time, which it has.
