main page pictures

I've really been enjoying the pictures on the main page lately as they scroll by. I've taken to leaving the main page open on my desktop so that I can watch them - there are some pretty amazing photos in there!

There are currently about 100, would you like to see more there?

I would love to have 1000 or more so people could bring a glass of Port and just sit and watch "the movie". Your thoughts?

The old saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words. Surely a thousand pictures merits more than one glass of port.

How are the pictures on the home page selected? I was watching them the other day and really enjoyed them.

Afaik they are randomly rotated. And thanks they are enjoyable to sit and watch. Preferably with some Port/Madeira/Douro wine in hand
