2000 Smith Woodhouse LBV for emergency consumption under the full moon on Friday the 13th.
Why SW00? Because it was harvested the last time there was a full moon on Friday the 13th. The next time won't be until August 13, 2049. Hopefully the 2014 Ports will be stout enough to last 35 years... I'm not convinced that I will!

That's a very nice price!!! I had mine at 75 and most I've seen are around 150. It is a blend of Colheitas from the 1920'sAllan Engelsted Laurents wrote:1 bottle of Quinta do Junco vvvv. A blended juice bottled in 1947.

12 x Dows crusted port - 2007 - £13 each
3 x Graham's crusted port - 1998 - £15 each

1970 Warre's VP
1981 Ferreira LBV
Same auction (Zachy's) had a 1946 Sandeman....no TNs anywhere I can find and not a declared year--yet the auction company insisted in was a VP (bottled in 1948 so it checks out). I wish I could have bid....did anyone here bid and win this lot? Hope it went to a good home.

I bid on a few bottles, non-Port, and was outbid and didn't follow up on Sunday. Those old Sandemans were tempting, but I wasn't in the mood to gamble on that outlier year.John M. wrote:Same auction (Zachy's) had a 1946 Sandeman....no TNs anywhere I can find and not a declared year--yet the auction company insisted in was a VP (bottled in 1948 so it checks out). I dont know how many people I can have over for my 50th birthday next year, But at least 3 guests.
I find it a little hard to find Ports from my Birth year.
