There is something about looking at other people's photos, especially when you were there and recognize each of the people and places. The photos above show the enthusiasm the photographers have in their first time seeing these images. I look at my own photos from this trip and do not recognize the same smiling lens. Not that I am jaded, but it certainly shows when someone new to the region takes an almost identical photo. Very interesting!
And before someone writes to remind me that this was not David's first time ... 8)

Other People's Pics
Does anyone mind if I copy a few of your pictures into my Flickr account so that my friends and family can see some of the shot that I wasn't able to take (like the lagares).
Just PM me if you need to.
Anyone from the trip is free to take any of mine as well.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Other People's Pics
You can "steal" what ever pictures you want from my account. I recoomend that you take the original size photo (2048 x 1536) and then upload those to your account. If you'd like even bigger versions, I am happy to send those to you on a disk or email.

Same goes for me. I just about maxed out my monthly upload on Flickr and only got about 25% of my pics uploaded so far. so if anyone wants a copy of all my pictures I can put them on a disk and send them to you.

?? ROY TRODDING GRAPES..
Hi..
There are rumors around that there are photos of the inestimable Roy
trodding grapes...
Is this true, please ? Where are they ?
It does occur to me that if there were a BigFoot in the Mountains of Portugal.. he would be in high demand :)

Roy quite the face you have on in the picture! Was grape stomping all you had hoped it would be? How many of you guys still have purple feet?

Let me just say stomping grapes is much harder work than it looks. We spent almost an hour in the lagares and although it was a ton of fun, I was glad I didn't have to do it for 3-4 hours like the rest of the workers. But what a once in a lifetime experience. IIRC (as I had a bit of port in me at that point), that was the last night of stomping, so we just barly made it.

Thanks Fred. We are quite close to having the PorTraits photo area become a reality on this site.
