I just learned the unfortunate and sad news that Luis Campo, the young man who owned and operated the Pinhao-based restaurant LBV79, died in a car accident on the road to Régua. This happened sometime in 2013, but I was just apprised today by Mario Ferreira.
To honor her son, Luis' mother has taken over the restaurant and kept all management intact. I am sorry to hear this as Luis was a really nice guy and was always welcoming and provided fine service for us when bringing groups to his fine eatery.

I'm just seeing this. Wow... shocking. So sad. I remember Luis. Talked with him for some time downstairs where they display a portion of their wines. Such a nice guy!
