As a lusophile i will be doing my 14th trip to Portugal in a couple of weeks (only three of them have been to Porto though) and i will be spending some time in Alentejo too. Now, i have already made some plans to visit at least these two wineries and vineyards: Cortes de Cima http://cortesdecima.com/en/ and Herdade dos Grous http://www.herdadedosgrous.com/inicio.html
If anyone can give me any tips about other quintas or wine tasting joints worth a visit near Beja that would be very much appreciated. Naturally i welcome other tips considering that area too. Thanks.

Re: Alentejo
I am not a great fan of Alentejo wines. That is a purely personal point of view on taste. The wines are generally well made and extremely popular. I can still appreciate a good wine that does not suit me, and I think you are too far south at Beja for the better quality Alentejos. Again just a personal opinion. If at all possible visit the castle at Monsaraz. The view from there is the most spectacular I have seen in my entire life.
