I picked up a 2005 Taylor Fladgate LBV at Trader Joe's for $19.99. It was bottled in 2011 so should be interesting to try.

One experience, documented here. That was a 40 year old with 21 years in the bottle.

Found a couple of bottles of Offley 'Baron of Forrester' 20 Year Tawny that were on sale. Bottled in 2004 so it's not very fresh but at $24 I'm not complaining.

Mahmoud.

I just got to try a 25-yr old Colheita that had been in bottle for and additional 22 years. TN will be posted soon!

13 x Taylors 2001 Vargellas
4 x Taylors 2004 LBV
Costco in Melbourne still 2001 Vargellas available, and they had also dropped the price $38 au (I can't even buy most LBVs that price here). 13 bottles later I believe they are now out of stock. I suspect that selling port to the costco crowd in Australia is a tough ask, so I won't expect to see it again. The LBV was extremely cheap by Australian standards too. I did leave a few bottes of that behind though.

3 x 2007 Quinta do Vale Meao through LCBO (there are 3 more in stock at an Oakville LCBO if anyone is interested)

I've also discovered that the LCBO just received a substantial number of 1997 Dow's so I'll probably grab a few of those as well.

6 x 2003 Quinta do Noval vintage for $57/bottle.

Seems like the price is dropping for this particular vintage, is there something wrong with it or is it simply time to stock up?

Time to stock up [cheers.gif] Actually, they changed importer and the old one blew them out at crazy cheap prices. So stock up on all you can afford and then some, it's a killer VP!

My brother came to visit and brought me a bottle of 2004 Quinta do Noval LBV!! Looking forward to tasting this as I understand Noval has changed how this is produced (all their own grapes from a single quinta) & foot-trodden. Also, the label is different than prior LBV years of 1001 and 2003--all black where was white.

Warre's 2006 LBV - i can't find any info on it; including the Warre's website  - it doesn't say it's unfiltered like previous Warre's LBV.
